Privacy Policy

Family Med Tracker ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Ironclad Apps. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used and protected, and the choices you have. We built Family Med Tracker to be a private place to organize medications for you and your family. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Family Med Tracker is not a medical provider. It is an organizational and reminder tool. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always follow the directions of your doctor or pharmacist.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account: your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
- People you track: the name, relationship, optional date of birth, weight, photo, and health notes you enter for yourself and family members.
- Medications: medication names, dosages, schedules and reminder times, start/end dates, prescriber, pharmacy, quantities, refill history, and any notes you add.
- Dose activity: records of doses you mark as taken or skipped.
Information collected automatically
- Push token & time zone: if you enable reminders, we store a notification token for your browser/device and your time zone so reminders fire at the correct local time.
- Subscription status: if you upgrade to Premium, we store whether your subscription is active and a payment-processor customer reference. We never receive or store your card number.
We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or third-party marketing tools in the app.
2. How we use your information
We use your information solely to operate the app: to authenticate you, display your medication schedule, send the dose reminders you set up, track refills, sync your data across your devices, and manage your subscription. We do not use your health information for any other purpose.
3. How your information is shared
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that run the app on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing those services:
- Google Firebase (Google Cloud): secure database, file storage, authentication, and push-message delivery. Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States.
- Cloudflare: hosting and content delivery for the app and website.
- Stripe: payment processing for Premium subscriptions. Stripe handles your card details directly; we receive only your subscription status and a customer reference ID.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or the public.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and encrypted at rest on Google Cloud. Access is restricted so that you can only read and write your own data, enforced by per-account security rules. We follow reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of health information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit who and what can access it.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your people, medications, history, and account record. Backup copies are purged on a rolling schedule.
6. Your rights and choices
You can view and edit your information directly in the app, disable reminders at any time in your browser/device settings, and delete your account. Depending on where you live (including under Canada's PIPEDA and similar laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children
Family Med Tracker is intended for adults. You must be the age of majority in your jurisdiction to create an account. A parent or guardian may record medications about a child as part of managing their family's care, but children do not create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
8. International users
Your information is stored and processed in the United States. By using the app, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
9. Data breach
If we discover a breach affecting your information, we will investigate promptly and notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by applicable law (including the U.S. FTC Health Breach Notification Rule and Canadian breach-reporting requirements).
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
